Sean Power (Bris) + Hillsborough (Bris)

Hillsborough, named for a Western Queensland region tied to lead singer Phil’s family since the late 1800s, have been delivering their distinctive Country/Blues since 2016, building from a Sacred Shrines side-project into a fully fledged act with a 2022 Heartsville Records debut, national airplay (ABC Country, Double J, 4ZZZ, 2SER, 3RRR, PBS), and festival stages including Gympie Music Muster, Higher Ground and Tamworth Country Music Festival, plus shared bills with everyone from The Dandy Warhols to Tina Arena. Sean Power brings the intimate, soul-stirring counterpart: his critically acclaimed 2025 debut Black Letter Day (Spin Magazine’s “Wild Card” Album of the Year) and new collection of Americana and alternative country songs, built on stripped-back acoustics with mandolin and baritone guitar, the first single received national airplay on ABC Country—credentials already proven at Byron Bay Blues Festival, Town & Country Festival and supporting Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows. Together they offer Sydney’s Alt-Country fans a powerful, emotionally resonant night of original music from two acts who live and breathe the form. 🐴🐴🐴 Limited seating, arrive early for best options.
