These classes are designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that is accessible, affordable, and community-oriented. Sew Easy Tote Bag Beginner Friendly Sewing Class! It’s the perfect time to slow down, learn something new, and create with intention. In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step through making your own reusable tote bag using second-hand fabrics. This class is designed for complete beginners - no prior sewing experience needed. You’ll learn the basics of using a sewing machine, cutting fabric, sewing straight seams, and finishing your project with confidence. All materials are provided, and each tote bag is one of a kind. If you’re feeling confident, there will be optional opportunities to personalise your bag with simple additions such as a pocket or decorative details - but there’s absolutely no pressure. Go at your own pace in a supportive, encouraging space. You’ll leave with a handmade tote bag, new sewing skills, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something practical with your own two hands. - All Materials, resources and machines provided - Tea & Coffee provided Out of respect for everyone’s learning time, I ask that participants arrive on time where possible. In the event that you have purchased a ticket but cannot make it please let me know as soon as possible and I will pay your ticket forward to someone else. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Carers and support workers do not need to purchase a ticket. A cozy lounge area is available for carers, guardians, or anyone who may wish to attend but not participate in the class. Friends, carers, and children are always welcome to join as companions - no ticket required.
