Shinnie Above Ground

We’re back with a love letter to the original. The makeshift backyard beer gardens. Decks set up on ironing boards. New best friends emerging at 3am. Channel Tres on the video call. Take me bloody back. The Shinnie has become so much more than a house party, but boy that was where the lore all began. From the ‘burbs of western Sydney, to the back alleys of the inner west - it’s always been about the people, the music and the stories that inevitably came through on the group chat the day after. So after a few years lighting up a campsite in Wisemen’s Ferry, we’re back with a party for the ages. (literally) Some usual Shinnie DJ favourites will be joined by a few new friends behind the decks, for a tribute to the indie-dance, disco, house and tech that made those original Shinnie parties the best ever. The Gladdy is a place that’s close to our hearts too. Many of us spent some core years chatting absolute trash in the pub, having a boogie upstairs or bumming a dart outside from some random you just met in the bathrooms. So we’re damn stoked to be taking over their iconic courtyard for a Shinnie party kicking off while the sun is still up - and finishing long into the evening. Kick off those purple sneakers, spray a little Passion Pit on ‘ya wrists and get ready for a trip down memory lane. Grab your tickets today for some house party energy, in the heart of the city.
