Smart Strata Workshop: All-Electric Apartments

Council’s Smart Strata Program is designed to move strata communities from interest to sustainability action. This workshop is the sixth of a 7-part series in 2026 to better serve strata communities and to empower strata residents, executive committee members and building champions to plan and deliver sustainability upgrades in apartment buildings. Participants can choose to attend a single workshop or book into all seven sessions, depending on their interests, priorities, and availability. The program aims to move participants from interest → knowledge → action, by combining expert-led workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and ongoing community support through a moderated Whats App group. Following strong interest and discussion at The Strata Social, this workshop responds directly to the growing number of strata communities asking: How strata communities can plan and deliver the transition to all-electric living, reducing emissions, improving efficiency and preparing for a cleaner energy future. Join industry experts and fellow strata residents to explore the benefits, challenges and practical steps involved in electrifying apartment buildings. Learn about replacing gas appliances, improving energy efficiency, navigating strata decision-making, and accessing available technologies and incentives. Hear real-world experiences from communities already on the journey and gain insights to help your building plan for a cleaner, healthier and more resilient future. This workshop is presented by Brent Clark who has over 20 years experience as a strata committee member, is a consultant for North Sydney Council's Futureproofing program and is CEO and founder of Wattblock.
