Spring Beach Classic 2026

Come along and race, jog or support our distance beach team ahead of the World Championships. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: • 7:00am 1km soft-sand run - U10 to U12 SLS nippers and public members • 7:15am 2km soft-sand run - U10 to Masters SLS members and public members • 7:30am 5km soft-sand run - public members (all ages) All events will start and finish on Wanda Beach, Cronulla. Open to all ages - all welcome. STARTS 7:00am WHY WE ARE RUNNING THE EVENT: Our beach team has been decimated due to the rising costs of the war and the ensuing travel costs and length of time that our athletes have to be away to compete at these championships, as the events stretch over two weeks. Our team has won 15 out of the 16 distance races at the last two full world championships. Currently there is only three of us going to the world champs, but we are hopeful that by doing some fundraising we can increase that number to include some of our best runners. This race is to purely raise funds to help these athletes to pay for travel, accommodation and ongoing costs whilst away. I am also donating Jock Athletic time, effort and resources to help the team get there.
