Sydney Children's Hospital Network - A Paediatric Palliative Approach (Westmead)

Aiming to improve health professional's knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness and their families/carers. A Paediatric Palliative Approach Education Day Topics include: • Principles of Paediatric palliative care • What does comfort care look like? • Paediatric & Neonatal Toolkit • Care differences according to location (hospital, hospice & home) • The deteriorating and dying patient • Communication in paediatrics Target audience: for ALL Health Professionals who care for children or neonates with a life limiting illness and want knowledge in paediatric palliative care (at registration please include previous/current experience).
