Tao Te Ching Study (Free)

This is a free event. Welcome to join our Tao study in a group of 2 to 4. Tao Te Ching was spoken by the wise man Laozi in ancient China, c.500BC. This book is one of the most widely studied and influential works of philosophy and spirituality. It has been embraced by the world and translated into many languages. In English you will find many translations that are beautifully poetic but can differ greatly from the original Chinese text. This is because The Tao Te Ching was written in a classical form with few words. In Chinese, this style enables the reader to gain many insights from a single character but makes it difficult to translate these complex mysteries into another language. We provide our own translation which aims to use words and meanings as close to the original Chinese text as possible. We hope this will provide a useful steppingstone for those who wish to explore the mysteries of Tao. The goals of the study: • Explore our inherent wisdom and its application in daily life. • Find peace and tranquility in our minds. • Find the purpose and happiness of our life. From October 15 to December 17, 2026 Every Thursday 5:10pm to 6:30pm in Chatswood library. Materials are provided. Please RSVP one day before the study starts. Inquiry on 0403176504 Thomas
