The Beautiful Girls

<p>The Beautiful Girls is the musical project of Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mat McHugh. Since emerging in the early 2000s, McHugh has built a distinctive sound blending reggae, dub, folk, hip hop, soul and punk influences, shaped by a life spent around Australia&rsquo;s surf and skate culture. Early releases including Morning Sun, Goodtimes and debut album Learn Yourself quickly established The Beautiful Girls as one of Australia&rsquo;s most recognisable independent acts.</p><p>Over the past two decades, The Beautiful Girls have toured extensively across Australia, Japan, Europe, Brazil, Canada and the US, while albums including We&rsquo;re Already Gone, Ziggurats, Spooks and Dancehall Days have expanded McHugh&rsquo;s sound and international following.
