Weep No More

"Weep No More" is a recital presented by Catherine Riley Soprano and George Wills Theorbo and Renaissance Lute, featuring music by the Italian composers of the late Renaissance, Giulio Caccini, Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini and England's John Dowland, celebrating the 400th anniversary of his death. The program is linked by a theme of tears, exploring the journey through grief, despair and beyond. The recital also includes a world premier of "Little Bodhisattva" by Steve Wood, which conveys a personal and profound experience Catherine had with a seven year old student. This is the first solo recital given by Catherine in thirty five years. After decades of silence, this recital is a triumphant return.
