Access Memory, Installation- Tegan Nash Ollett and Isabelle Reynaud

Access Memory the installation version, explores precariousness, and how we sustain ourselves during times of upheaval and uncertainty. The work ponders “is this a process of internal ‘scaffolding’, drawing on everything we know and experience in life – good and bad?” An installation of cylinder forms are manifestations of the internal, and external structures we create to find safety and stability. Flooded with light, the cylinders split the beams creating a fractured, refracted light painting across the room. The sculptural forms are entirely nondescript, and prescribe no narrative; instead, the abstract interplay of structure, sound and refracted light allows audiences to be carried away to their own personal moments, memories, and lived experiences. Accompanied by a haunting, atmospheric soundscape by Isadorè (Isabelle Reynaud), the fragile configuration holds the space and our experience in this moment.
