Access Memory, Live Performance- Tegan Nash Ollett and Isabelle Reynaud

Movement emerges through the manipulation of cylinder forms – a physical response to something structural, and the forms are given meaning by the presence of the body with them. The forms are nondescript and the process of defining them is an act of choreography. This creates imagery that mimics moments, memories and emotions present in the process of finding stability. The forms are used to build structures to sustain, house, and fall unexpectedly. Impressive light states appear and shift as the sculpture and the body find balance. The work features a live collaboration with sound artist Isadore, whose haunting vocals and instrumentation are guided by the often unpredictable interplay between body and form.
