Breaking Free - Art Party

Let your creativity take flight with Breaking Free! Create ‘Breaking Free’, a gorgeous 3D butterfly artwork combining acrylic paint, shimmering gold leaf and paper craft to create colourful butterflies that literally pop off the canvas! We're re-freshing our Art Gallery in 2026 with a whole bunch of new paintings! Out with the old, in with the new. We'll be bringing back some favourites, creating brand-new artworks, and sharing them with our amazing Tipsy community — from our regulars who have been with us since Day 1 to those joining us for the first time! This one is all about getting creative and having fun with colour, texture and dimension. Paint your background, create your butterflies, add some gorgeous gold leaf, then bring it all together to make a unique piece that's completely your own. Can't even draw a stick figure? No worries! With step-by-step guidance your artwork will turn out fine. We promise. We've got everything you need, and if you decide to ignore the instructions and go your own way, rock on! Bring a mate, a group or make some new connections. If you've got a larger group, send us a quick email or Facebook message and we'll save you some seats together. Kids are welcome, but we recommend 8 years plus. Bring your own beverages (alcoholic or non) and nibbles, and make yourself at home. Please arrive at least 10mins before the session starts so you can pour your drinks and get settled before we begin creating. You'll find our studio at 80 Mather St, Garbutt — just on the line between Garbutt/Mount Louisa, between the highway and Bayswater Road. We’re behind door #3!
