Full description from organizerShow less
Our children and young people have their own internal challenges, and the mental health, health and education systems designed to support them don’t always listen or provide neurodivergent-friendly spaces. Young people are often in ‘survival brain’ mode, limiting their engagement with people and services. This peer-led workshop brings together parents, families, carers and kin who share personal and family experiences of supporting children and young people through complex mental health challenges. Together, we'll explore practical skills, knowledge and resources to ease the tension and build a better understanding around communicating with our young people.
