Beginners Sewing Workshop | 6 week course

Welcome to our sewing course for beginners!* • Get comfortable using your sewing machine • Gain confidence in machine sewing techniques • Work on your own project over the course of six weeks • Practice reading a pattern and understanding material choices • Produce a piece you’ll be proud of with practical skills you can continue to develop What to expect • 6 weeks to work on your own project in a relax and supportive environment • 3 weeks are private beginners-only sessions to guide you on your project (weeks 1,2,3) • Every second week will be joined with Sewing Club, to continue your project with other sewists! • Guidance and expertise that will help you tackle a project and gain confidence sewing • BYO machine, project and materials to make something you’ll want to keep forever Schedule • Week 1 - all about learning to use your own sewing machine and choosing a project • Week 2 - continue your project at Sewing Club • Week 3 - beginners only, problem solving and project progression • Week 4 - continue your project at Sewing Club • Week 5 - beginners only, problem solving and project progression • Week 6 - Sewing Club social with sewing, snacks and celebrating your work Our sewing socials continue to run alternate Thursdays between sewing classes and you get 2 additional sessions to use later on too! Your host Elle has been sewing since she was a kid, taught by a patient mother and free reign on the sewing machine.. When she was a teenager she was lucky enough to attend quilting classes ,which set her up for her current business - sewing towel hoodies from recycled towels. She believes sewing is an empowering skill to have, both creative and truly practical and loves to teach these skills to others.
