The Clown Fairy - with Pauline Calme

A playful fairy who loves to clown around. The Clown Fairy takes young audiences on a whimsical adventure filled with imaginative mime, physical comedy and delightful surprises. Created especially for children and families, this charming new performance celebrates curiosity, play and the joy of laughing together. The Clown Fairy is a new work by French-Australian performer, director and teacher Pauline Calmé. Drawing on more than 150 professional clown and improvisation performances, Pauline brings extensive experience in physical theatre and audience engagement. In 2017, she directed an award-winning clown and improv production that received Best Ensemble at the New Zealand Improv Festival. Inspired by the playful routines she developed to entertain her young daughter, Pauline is resident at The Imaginarium arts space 21-28 September to further develop The Clown Fairy into a joyful and accessible theatrical experience for young audiences. This informal performance offers an opportunity to experience the work as it continues to evolve.
