Full description from organizer

An evening of honest conversation about AI, work, and what stays human. AI is changing how we work, decide, learn and feel, yet most AI events are about tools, not people. This afterwork is about people. Let’s talk about it, over a drink (or two), in Galerie Bortier, 55 Rue de la Madeleine, Brussels, with kind & curious people. The A.fterwork I.ntelligence Drink already runs regularly in Geneva, Barcelona, Paris and Luxembourg. This is the first edition in Brussels, and you will be its very first group. There are no slides, no pitches and no experts at the front of the room. Instead, there are honest conversations among people from different walks of work about how AI is reshaping their work, their judgement and their sense of what should stay human. The evening is in English. Buy your own drink, which is our thank-you to the venue that hosts us. The group is deliberately small so the conversation stays real. What to expect You’ll join a small table for three rounds of conversation, each led by one co-host with their own set of questions. You pick the question that pulls you in, and you talk. There are no right answers and no tech background is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to think out loud. At the end, each table shares one takeaway and asks the hosts one question, so the questions go both ways. Conversations follow the Chatham House Rule: ideas can travel, names don’t. Nothing is recorded. The 3 rounds • Designed for whom? How AI tools are shaped around you, and what that feels like from the user’s side, led by Niels Quinten.. • Thinking with AI. Intentionality and agentivity: why you use AI, what you keep for yourself, and whether you own the outcome, led byHenri Allegra. • In the loop or out of the way? Where a human should stay in an AI-assisted decision, where oversight is only a formality, and when to step aside, led by Cédric Sounard. Who is behind this afterwork? It is co-hosted by Henri Allegra (Homo Promptus), Niels Quinten (Best Goed Studio) and Cédric Sounard (Most Extroverted Geek). • Homo Promptus looks at how humans evolve with AI: intentional, responsible, human-centred adoption. • Best Goed Studio looks at how AI is designed for humans: keeping people at the centre of how AI is built and used. • Most Extrovert Geek looks at epistemic agency in the loop: who really decides when AI proposes and a human approves. The three perspectives cover design, cognition and governance. Together, the hosts offer a safe, neutral space to explore AI without hype, pressure or judgement. Who should come? Anyone curious about how AI is changing their work and life, whether you are already deep into your career or just starting out, from any sector or level. That includes managers, HR and L&D, people working in or around the EU institutions, entrepreneurs, students and young professionals, creatives, researchers, and people in finance, health and the public sector. A mixed room is the point. Bring your curiosity. We’ll take care of the rest. Please note: places are limited. A few days before the event, all registrants will be asked to confirm. Anyone who doesn’t confirm in time gives up their place to the next person on the waiting list, so please watch for the confirmation request. Photos may be taken for a post-event LinkedIn update. If you’d prefer not to appear, just let us know. No explanation is needed.
