We're a group of soon-to-be neighbours building The Reef in Brussels, and over the past years we've figured out a thing or two — about finding a site, keeping a group motivated, writing a vision, and everything in between. On 18 November we're sharing what we've learned, over a drink at Brutopia.Where? The common room of Cohousing Brutopia in Forest (Brussels) — fittingly, the cohousing that inspired us massively in the first place. What's on the programme? An optional speed-dating round to meet fellow aspiring builders A 30-minute crash course on the essentials: writing a vision document, setting up your organisational structure, scouting for a site, recruiting and onboarding members, handling conflict, and more Then the evening is yours: grab a drink, pick a Reefling's brain on whatever topic keeps you up at night, and meet like-minded people along the way. Oh, and one more thing: we've built a database of 170 sites we spotted in Brussels and we also have two unused feasibility studies. Maybe one of those sites is exactly what your group has been looking for? Why? We see our cohousing as more than a home for ourselves — it's a vehicle for the change we'd like to see in the world. If that resonates, we'd love to meet you.
