EXTENDED Final Event: The future of Solid-State Battery Systems

Meet the next generation of multifunctional, modular and scalable solid-state batteries hosted by EXTENDED, a Horizon Europe project. Join us in Brussels for the EXTENDED Final Event on 15 October 2026, where researchers, industry representatives and European battery innovators will come together to explore the results, impact and future opportunities of next-generation solid-state battery systems. The event will showcase the main technical achievements and demonstrators developed within EXTENDED, followed by discussion on their potential impact, exploitation and continuation beyond the project. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear short project spotlights, exchange lessons learned, and take part in a broader discussion on battery innovation, sustainability and industrialisation. A key part of the programme will be the European Battery Innovation Forum, bringing together EXTENDED, related European projects and invited experts to discuss future collaboration opportunities and the next steps for battery technologies in Europe. Beyond the presentations, the event is designed as a space to connect, exchange ideas and build new collaborations, with demonstrator viewing, audience Q&A and a networking lunch closing the programme.
