FARI2026 — The current state of Health & AI research

This session invites the wider health and AI community to take stock of where research really stands today. Location: The Factory Duration: 2 hours This year, the Health flagship session of the FARI Conference turns its attention to fundamental research. Moving beyond last year’s focus on spin-offs and market applications, it invites the wider health and AI community (researchers, entrepreneurs, healthcare practitioners and patient advocates) to take stock of where research really stands today. Brussels researchers will share their work by answering three simple questions: “What did you use to think? What changed your mind? And what are you working on now?” Rather than showcasing the latest technology, the talks focus on the assumptions that have been challenged and the insights gained overtime. The session combines short, focused talks with responses from three perspectives: industry, entrepreneurship, and patients and healthcare professionals. An open discussion then invites participants to dig deeper into one or two of the talks, followed by a Q&A with the audience.
