FARI2026 — What belongs in a Brussels AI register?

In this interactive workshop, participants work with realistic cases from public administrations. Location: Classroom, 2nd floor Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes Public administrations increasingly use AI and algorithms, from chatbots and translation tools to risk scoring and data matching. Many cities and countries now publish registers of these systems. As the use of AI in the public sector keeps expanding, the scope becomes the key question: which systems should be in a register, which shouldn’t, and why? In this interactive workshop, participants work with realistic cases from public administrations. Together we explore scope, governance and transparency of a future AI register for the Brussels region. The workshop is open to civil servants, policymakers, researchers and anyone interested in transparent public-sector AI.
