The Book Club: Lounge @ MOK Studios Date & Time: November 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM (CEST) Venue: MOK STUDIO Join The Book Club as we partner with MOK STUDIO to present another edition of The Book Club: Lounge. This event creates a third space for our community, where intellectual pressure is set aside in favor of relaxed connection and enjoyment. This session will be centred around Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. Released in 2012, the album blends West Coast hip-hop, funk and soul to tell a coming-of-age story rooted in Kendrick’s experiences growing up in Compton. Through vivid storytelling, cinematic production and intimate voicemail recordings, it explores peer pressure, violence, love, family and faith, following a young man trying to find his place in an environment that constantly tests him. We’ll dive into the album’s stories and lyrics, opening up conversations about identity, belonging and the choices that shape who we become. MOK STUDIO, located in the lobby of record label PIAS, is a unique listening and coffee bar featuring an exotic HiFi setup and custom-made furniture designed around its bar and music system. Enjoy a selection of high-end coffees, including hand brews and Strietman Espresso. We will focus on an album played on MOK STUDIO’s state-of-the-art record player and HiFi sound system. The Book Club will provide themed Book Club cards to spark conversation among attendees. Additionally, chess and other board games will be available for your enjoyment. We look forward to welcoming you to this new chapter of The Book Club.
