In the Mirror: Bridging the Knowing-Doing Gap

The gap between knowing and doing is one of the best-documented puzzles in behavioural science. This keynote examines workable skills. We are complex. We're busy, low on energy and at times drifting toward burnout. The strange part: we usually know what would help, move more, eat better, work less, and still don't do it. The gap between knowing and doing is one of the best-documented puzzles in behavioural science, and we rarely close it by adding more pressure or another technical fix. This keynote examines the skills that make growth stick. It has three parts: waking up, cleaning up, growing up. You'll gain insight and practical tools to take more control of your life. How do you work with internal resistance? How do you address old pain? How do you grow psychologically? What this keynote won't give you: quick fixes. Growing as a person is a process of trial and error: trying, discovering, investigating. See you there?
