Bellingham Bird Week: Queer Birder's Walk at Whatcom Falls Park

Come find your flock with other nature loving queer folks for a bird walk guided by experienced queer birder and naturalist, Kate Brown. This queer bird walk hosted by Bird Bellingham is the last program of Bellingham's First official Bird Week! We host a Queer Birders Club on the last Sunday of every month, all year long, for queer birders of all abilities and experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned pro or this is your very first time birding, this is a safe space to be yourself, have fun, and get curious about birds with other nature-loving queer folks! All of our walks are always facilitated by queer naturalist and birder Kate Brown, who has over a decade of experience running birding and nature connection programs for folks of all ages. Bring your binoculars, coffee, a donut, and anything you need to stay comfortable for the duration of our time outside. Registration is highly encouraged but not required to participate. We've always got room for more friends, so feel free to drop in or bring friends along with you! Where to Find Us: We will be meeting at the Whatcom Falls entrance located at 1401 Electric Avenue, directly across from Lafeen's donuts. This is the entrance used to access the tennis court and pump track. Park in the parking lot near the tennis courts, and find us at a picnic table in the field across from the courts. The Queer Birders Club typically meets from 10-11:30am on the last Sunday of every month (with some exceptions for availability and holidays). We are always accepting used binocular donations!
