Join us for a meaningful community engagement session focused on safety overdose response. Gaining wisdom from an Indigenous perspective. EVENT HELD INSIDE THE LIBRARY AT CITY OF LANGLEY CITY HALL Event Description: Join us for a meaningful community engagement session focused on safety and overdose response while gaining wisdom from an Indigenous perspective. This gathering brings together community members, service providers, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Indigenous organizations to learn about the REACT Now App and share valuable feedback that will help shape culturally informed approaches to overdose prevention and community support. The session will include a presentation on the REACT Now App, an opportunity to explore its features, and an open discussion about how digital tools can better serve Indigenous communities. Participants will also be invited to reflect on and discuss their experiences, observations, and concerns related to substance use, toxic drug poisonings, and community wellness in a safe and respectful environment. Langley CARE Partnership Langley CARE is a collaborative initiative between the City of Langley, Engaged Communities Canada Society, and Indigelink Digital Inc. The partnership aims to strengthen Langley City's capacity to respond effectively to drug poisonings by integrating innovative digital resources with local supports and services. Through community engagement and technology, Langley CARE seeks to increase awareness, preparedness, and access to life-saving information and resources. About the REACT Now App The REACT Now App was developed in response to the rise in drug poisoning deaths across British Columbia and Canada. The app is designed to empower individuals to recognize and respond to suspected opioid poisonings and help prevent overdose-related deaths.
