Upcoming Productions to look out for in the 2025-2026 Season of Theatre at UFV Lac/Athabasca By Len Falkenstein March 2027 Lac/Athabasca is a fictionalized retelling of the events that led to disaster after an unattended train loaded with oil rolled down a hill, derailed, and exploded, destroying half the downtown core of Lac-Mégantic, Quebec. Told through interwoven stories, it is a cautionary tale of what happens when we’re consumed by the insatiable appetite for the ever-greater development and exploitation of the earth’s natural resources. This show runs March 18th-20th 2027 at the UFV Blackbox Theatre & April 1st-3rd 2027 at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre For more information about UFV Theatre productions visit https://ufv.ca/plays/
