PLANETARY BODIES: VENUS x FEVER

An evening full of dance, film and cosmology. Over the coming weeks Venus is preparing to disappear into the Sun’s light. Through October, she will vanish from the sky entirely and be reborn on the other side of the horizon. It’s one of the most potent turns in her cycle, a moment astrologers have studied and interpreted for centuries. The fierceness of the moment deserves more than a passing glance. So we’ve built an evening around it: two films, a live conversation, and an intimate studio night dedicated entirely to Venus, her mythology, and her return. PLANETARY BODIES? Planetary Bodies is a seven-part dance film series from choreographer Tyler Pearse and astrologer-researcher Dylan Coutts. One film for each of the classical planets: each instalment sets a planet’s true astronomical motion against the myth, culture, and meaning humanity has layered onto it for millennia. Coutts researches. Pearse choreographs. Together, they render cosmology in the body. The night’s screening of Venus, presented at the exact turn in her cycle, is your invitation into that world. FEVER Celebrating FEVER’s wide release. A dance film by Tyler Pearse and Paige Foskett, featuring an original score by MIRAGE. Spring, distilled to its essentials: heat, disorientation, and the ache of coming back to life.
