Using AI Well: Prompting & Responsible AI for Beginners

During this 90-minute introductory workshop, participants will learn how to create more deliberate prompts to get better and more useful results from AI tools. The session will also explore responsible AI use, including important questions around privacy, authorship, fairness and human dignity. What you'll explore Participants will learn about: • How prompts influence the responses AI gives you • Ways to write clearer and more deliberate prompts • How to improve and refine your prompts when the first response isn't quite right • Responsible use of AI • Privacy and the information we share with AI tools • Authorship and ownership • Fairness, bias and human dignity No technical or coding background is required. This workshop is the first in a two-part introductory series, but it can also be taken on its own. Part two will build on these ideas and introduce participants to developing simple apps.
