CreativiTEA - Backwards, Forwards Workshop

What could be better than art-making, self-discovery and tea? Sometimes we need to take a step back before we can move forward. Do you have a goal that you are looking to achieve? Perhaps it is to go on a big trip, change your career direction, spend more time with your kids, or run a marathon. You may feel stuck, or like you're running in circles in your own head, if the path to that objective seems to have only one solution. Based on the work of Angus Fletcher in his book "Primal Intelligence," we will be using art-making to explore the real motivations behind the goal and how there might be multiple pathways to achieving it. What is a CreativiTEA? CreativiTEA is an in-person workshop series for grown-ups that combines fun, insightful art-making activities with community-building through creativity. Each two-hour CreativiTEA session includes: • A guided creative activity with all art supplies provided. In this workshop, we will be using markers, pencil crayons and/or crayons on paper. • Socializing and discussion with tea and delicious goodies—also provided What you don’t need to bring to CreativiTEA? Any concerns about your perceived “artistic ability” or level of “talent”! The workshops are intended for anyone who wants to explore art-making and dive headfirst into the world of creativity. Tickets are limited! If you can't make this workshop, we encourage you to follow our Eventbrite page to be notified of future workshops. Your CreativiTEA facilitators Athena splits her time between being a fine art painter, illustrator, writer and creativity coach. By blending her training as both a therapeutic arts practitioner and a life coach, she helps people tap into their creativity and potentially draw forth unexpected insights from the more visual side of their minds. Stefan is a clinical counsellor and a self-described wounded healer. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) from the University of Calgary and strongly believes in the power of utilizing creativity as a pathway to help people explore, discover and grow.
