Exmerce Forge | Construction and Trades Networking Event

Exmerce Forge is where Calgary’s construction leaders stop talking about the grind and start building the network that fuels it. Your time is money, and most networking is a waste of both. Exmerce Forge is designed specifically for the trades—no fluff, just utility. • Come As You Are: Work gear is the dress code. Don't bother going home to change; come straight from the site there’s no fashion shows here. • Built for Efficiency: We’ve combined education, structured networking, and open shop talk into one high-impact session that respects your schedule. • Zero Vultures: We vet the room. You’ll be surrounded by actual trade peers and business owners, not sales reps looking for an easy target. Exmerce Forge is where Calgary’s construction leaders stop talking about the grind and start building the network that fuels it. This isn't your typical sit-down meeting—it’s a high-impact environment designed to forge real, lasting connections between the trades that keep this city moving. Come straight from the site, skip the corporate fluff, and plug into a vetted room of peers focused on resource sharing, barter, and getting the job done. We provide the structure; you provide the expertise. Let’s build something stronger together. You do what you do best, we’ll bring the people to you. We know you don’t have time to waste. That’s why our events are structured for connections, value and to make sure you get in, get what you need and get home. The Structure: Needs and Leads (30 minutes) We use a "Needs & Leads" card system. Break into groups and each person has 1 minute to say: "Here is what I do, here is what I need and here is who I can refer.” During that time everybody has a note card to write down leads and other ideas for the people in their group! The Expert (30 Minutes) Every event we bring in an industry expert to answer you burning questions on business topics like marketing, accounting, insurance, etc. No fluff or slides just you getting the answers you’ve been looking for. OUR EXPERT: Nicholas Stainsby is the CEO of Wipe Clean a Calgary-based service company and recipient of the 2026 Consumer Choice Award. Nicholas is passionate about growing businesses, building great teams, and creating a culture where people enjoy coming to work and want to get better. He takes a hands-on, real-world approach to leadership, with a focus on keeping things simple, building solid systems, and constantly improving. He enjoys sharing what he’s learned along the way—the wins, the challenges, and everything in between. The Free-For-All (1 Hour) Check out the “needs and leads summary”, talk to the people standing next to you, we got the people here, now you network the way that YOU want to.
