The Wonderful World of Mushrooms - A Two-Hour Watercolour Exploration

We’ll experiment with colour mixing, washes, layering, wet-on-dry techniques, texture, and fine details, from the rich reds and subtle variations of the cap to the earthy neutrals of the stem and loose grasses below. Along the way, you’ll create small colour studies and explore how changing value, temperature, and colour combinations can completely change the personality of your painting. A relaxed, approachable class designed to build watercolour confidence, encourage experimentation, and leave you with a charming finished mushroom painting—and plenty of ideas for creating more. Beginners welcome! Your line drawing will already be applied to the watercolour surface when you arrive, so you can jump right into painting. No drawing experience required.
