Nature Sketchbook - Watercolour Workshop

Built your painting skills and fill your sketchbook with art! Join our monthly watercolour sketchbook workshop. Join us at Rooster for a relaxed, creative evening exploring plants, birds, animals and landscapes through watercolour and sketching. Each month, we’ll use our sketchbooks to study elements of a painting we’d like to create. From the shape of a leaf to the colours in a landscape, we’ll practise simple techniques to help bring those ideas to life. We’ll sketch, chat, watch demonstrations and paint together, with individual guidance along the way. This is a welcoming, beginner-friendly class with time to experiment and enjoy the process. No experience is needed, and you’re encouraged to work at your own pace. What’s included: • A watercolour sketchbook to keep and bring back each month. • Quality watercolour paints, brushes, drawing tools and supplies. • Reference images, demonstrations and individual support. You don’t need to bring anything to your first class, although you’re welcome to bring a nature photograph or an idea you’d love to paint. Returning participants should bring their sketchbook. Come on your own or bring a friend and enjoy a few creative hours in Rooster’s welcoming, family-friendly space. Grab a snack or something to drink while you paint if you like, with no obligation to purchase anything. Suitable for ages 15+ and adults.
