Halifax Debut of ‘Kingdom Come, Kingdom Go’ (Watch That Ends The Night Records) Gone Again Presents : Michael Cloud Duguay "Kingdom Come, Kingdom Go is about a lot of things: It’s about Newfoundland, and about organs, and about religion. But what it’s really about is finding connection in unlikely places." - Bandcamp Daily --- Duguay's output frequently explores memory, nostalgia, and location, both literal and metaphorical. His fascination with the particular qualities of different spaces and with different collaborative dynamics has led to him to record and create music everywhere from the Yukon Territory’s northernmost fly-in community to the lantern room of mainland Canada’s easternmost lighthouse and remote historic churches all across Newfoundland, and relatedly has prompted him to explore sustainable methods of recording. Opening Performances by : Mohammad Sahraei Mohammad, who came to Halifax, NS in 2017, is a musician and ethnomusicologist originally from Iran, where he graduated with a BA in Music and an MA in Ethnomusicology, as well as an accounting degree and an MBA. He is a multi-instrumentalist (Tar, Setar, Dotar, and Daff) and his composition and performance are focused on the music of Iran, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Markus Floats Markus Lake is multidisciplinary artist, musician and composer based in Montréal/Tiotia’ke. He has performed and released synthetic audio works under the Markus Floats moniker over the past decade, alongside playing bass in a wide range of punk, post-punk, experimental and Afrofuturist outfits (including Elle Barbara’s Black Space, Sheer Agony, Silver Dapple and Egyptian Cotton Arkestra). He co-founded the local indie music space Drones Club and has been an active force in the Montréal’s DIY music community since relocating to the city from his native Calgary in 2008. Lake is a graduate of the Electroacoustic Studies program at Concordia University and has a prior background in Jazz Performance.
