AI Adoption Workshop

Hands-on workshop offered by Portugal Canada Chamber of Commerce. Participants will get clear answers to how AI can help their botton line. Business owners hear about AI every week, and are right to be skeptical of the noise. This hands-on workshop cuts through it. In two hours, participants get a clear answer to a question many companies are asking: what is AI, and what is not? You will learn where AI creates real value in a business like theirs, what the next level of AI looks like in their company, how to choose a sensible first use case, and which risks to manage around data, privacy, and human oversight. In the hands-on segment, each participant identifies a realistic first AI opportunity in their own business, using a simple framework provided in the session. What this looks like in specific sectors: example questions the session will speak to: • Construction: Where do estimates and bids lose accuracy, and how much margin disappears between quote and completion? Can change orders, RFIs, and site paperwork stop eating supervisors' time? • Professional services: How much billable time goes to drafting, document review, and client intake? Can AI help with any of it safely, when client confidentiality is on the line? • Hospitality: Can next month's demand be forecast well enough to staff and buy right? What are hundreds of customer reviews actually saying, and where is food cost quietly leaking? Audience: Business owners and senior managers. No technical background needed. Takeaway: A practical 30/60/90-day adoption checklist members can use right away.
