Sixth Annual Juried Show of Visual Arts : Opening Reception

Join us on November 12 to celebrate the artists accepted into this year’s Juried Show of Visual Arts! The Art Gallery of Mississauga welcomes you to the opening reception of the Sixth Annual Juried Show of Visual Arts! This year, we were delighted to receive 300 submissions from emerging and established artists across Ontario. Cathie Jamieson, Shaheer Zazai, and Valentyna Onisko carefully deliberated to select 37 pieces for this year's exhibition, based solely on the images and anonymous artist statements provided. Their choices particularly reflect the broad range of subject matter, techniques, and approaches that came forward in this Ontario-wide open call. This exhibition includes sculpture, textiles, photography, drawing, painting, and interactive and digital works. Featuring works by: Brandon Baghaee, Natasha Beaudoin, Daria Beer, Sepi Borhani, Lelya Borisenko, Julian Brown, Omar Canales-Cisneros, Lei Chang, Carolyn Cheng, Jennifer Coghill, Lynden Cowan, Bret Culp, Pat Dumas-Hudecki, Michelle Eissler, Aniyah Faisal, Carlos Fentanes, Rebecca Fortin, Lori Harrison, Christopher He, Karen Saunders Hurley, Bisma Jay, Marc Labreche, Jennifer Lantz, Nancy Lennon, Mariel Pagliai, Charisma Panchapakesan, Margaret Pardy, Sherry Park, William Peltier, SAKHUJA, Firouzeh Saremifar, Kari Serrao, Amy Swartz, Natalie Sze Wai, Serena Zhang, Shye Zhang, and Feng Zhou.
