About this event

A full day for advisors on building a practice that runs better and is worth more. Kelowna Yacht Club, October 2. Most advisors will hand over their practice exactly once. What it's worth when that day arrives isn't decided in the negotiation. It's decided over the years before, in how the business is built, who it depends on, and whether the client experience holds up without the advisor in the room.

This day covers both halves of that. The morning is about running a better practice. The afternoon is about what happens when it changes hands. Six sessions, a moderated panel of advisors who've been through it, and a room of advisors at every stage of the same problem. Location: Kelowna Yacht Club, 1370 Water Street, Kelowna BC ------------- Event Agenda: 9:00 to 10:30 | From Busy to Built, Then Ready to Grow Jeff Thorsteinson, Advisor Practice Management A practice can look successful from the outside and still run on the advisor holding everything together. The calendar's full, the revenue's real, and too much of it still lives in one person. Jeff opens the day with 90 minutes on where that dependency shows up and what it costs, both in how the practice feels to run and in what it's worth to a buyer. Registrants complete a short Practice Excellence Assessment beforehand and work through their own results across four areas. From there Jeff turns to growth, and the difference between an opportunity problem and a capacity problem. You'll leave with your top three leaks and one 90-day priority for your team. 10:30 to 11:00 | Managing Your Time Like a CEO Charlene Wolthuizen, Business Coach for Financial Advisors [Coming Soon] 11:00 to 11:15 | Coffee break 11:15 to 12:15 | Total Cost Reporting, An Opportunity For Creativity Erin Wilson, CFP, CIMA, CIM.
