A hands-on workshop for financial advisors: learn to show clients the value of your advice in the era of Total Cost Reporting. Communicating the Value of Advice is a practical three-hour workshop for financial and wealth advisors. Hosted by Advocis, it takes place at the Kelowna Yacht Club on November 26, 2026, and is led by business strategist Ron Tite. Why It Matters Now Total Cost Reporting will give your clients a clearer view of what they pay, starting with the enhanced annual statements they receive in early 2027. The cost will be easy to see. The value behind it won't. A statement can show clients what they paid. It can't show the planning, perspective, discipline, reassurance and judgment you provided to help them make better decisions along the way. As costs become more visible, so must the value of your advice. About the Workshop This isn't a session on regulation or on why communication matters. It's a hands-on working session focused on the conversations you're increasingly expected to lead: what to say, how to say it and how to make it sound like you. The goal isn't to give you a script. It's to give you a more natural way to communicate the value you already provide. What You'll Learn You'll leave better able to: ● Explain fees and costs clearly, without sounding defensive. ● Move client conversations from fees and products to value and outcomes. ● Make the less visible parts of your advice easier for clients to understand. ● Handle the questions and objections Total Cost Reporting may bring. ● Build a value narrative you can adapt to different clients. These skills go well beyond Total Cost Reporting. You'll use them in client reviews, prospect meetings and any conversation where trust, clarity and confidence matter. Registration: • Advocis members $50 • Non-members $75 • Table $300 About Ron Tite Most business sessions give you substance or entertainment. Ron gives you both. A bestselling author and keynote speaker, he has spent more than 25 years helping organizations, including RBC, Manulife and Microsoft, make complex ideas clear and useful. And he's still doing the work. As founder and chief strategy officer of Church+State, he leads strategy for organizations facing real business, brand and communication challenges. Ron turns serious business ideas into stories people remember, with humour, humanity and a practical point they can use the next day. As one attendee put it, "I learned and laughed more in an hour than I did all year." Reserve your seat and come ready to strengthen the way you communicate the value of your advice.
