Join us for a festive gathering filled with good food, meaningful conversations, a little Christmas cheer, and, well, let’s be honest, some good old-fashioned socializing! Date: December 4, 2026 Time: 11:30 AM Location: Moxies Kelowna 1730 Cooper Road, Kelowna, BC This event is open to all women in business in the Kelowna community, not just women in the Living in Balance space. Together, we'll share a little holiday cheer while giving back to women and children who could use some extra support this season. About Who We're Supporting: Kelowna Women’s Shelter provides safety, support, and essential resources for women and children experiencing domestic abuse. For women and children leaving an unsafe situation, having access to necessities, a safe place to stay, and compassionate support can make a meaningful difference as they begin rebuilding their lives. This holiday season, we want to come together as a community of women to help provide some of those essentials, along with a few thoughtful extras to make the season a little brighter. How You Can Contribute: 🎁 The Essentials | We would love to provide the women and children supported by Kelowna Women’s Shelter with some thoughtful gifts this holiday season! Whether it's clothing, household necessities, non-perishable food donations or gift cards, every contribution helps. If you would like to provide a larger items or contribute money towards one, please send an email to [email protected], or connect with the woman who invited you to this event. We'll help coordinate donations based on the shelter's current needs. You can also bring cash or arrange an e-transfer in person at the event. 🌟 And of course, cash is always a huge help! Financial donations allow us to contribute towards larger wishlist items, grocery gift cards, or other essentials that may be needed. Every little bit helps, and together, our contributions can make a meaningful difference. About Kelowna Women’s Shelter: Since 1980, Kelowna Women’s Shelter has provided a safe place of refuge and essential support for women and children experiencing domestic abuse in Kelowna and the surrounding communities. Their work extends beyond emergency accommodation, providing women and children with access to food, clothing, personal necessities, emotional support, advocacy, outreach, and resources to help them move forward. Their programs and services are free and confidential, helping women and children navigate difficult circumstances while working towards safer, more stable futures. Through the generosity of community members, donors, and volunteers, Kelowna Women’s Shelter can continue providing important services to those who need them.
