Age-Friendly Community Voices Series: Orientation

Join us in-person to share your experiences, and impact age-friendly planning in your community! Join the Age-Friendly Community Voices Series! The Grand River Council on Aging and the Self-Regulation, Emotion, and Aging Lab at Wilfrid Laurier University invite you to participate in the Age-Friendly Community Voices Series. Across 9 sessions, we hope to hear about the experiences of folks aged 5-to-105 across the City of Brantford, County of Brant, and Six Nations of the Grand River. Following the orientation session, each session will focus on a different pillar of age-friendly communities, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). Folks are invited to attend as many sessions as they wish. Coffee/tea and snacks will be served at all sessions. --------------------- This first session will lay the groundwork for the entire series: providing an overview of the WHO's conception of an age-friendly community, the journey of the City of Brantford, County of Brant, and Six Nations of the Grand River to be age-friendly, and the objective of these sessions.
