Breaking dance classes (5 week block) - beginner friendly!

Want to learn to dance? This is your sign! Beginner-friendly dance classes to get you moving! 5-week progressive Breaking dance class block, in collaboration with KW Breakers. This class is suitable for beginners and brand new dancers! ALL ARE WELCOME! Details: Dates: October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 2026 Time: Class 8-9pm Class Cost: • $112+HST for the block • Want to save on Eventbrite transaction fees? Go to remixswing.com instead! • University student discount (with valid ID): 10% off - USE CODE "STUDENT" at checkout (after other discounts/sales end - does not stack) Please bring indoor shoes or sock feet as no outdoor shoes will be allowed in the studio. FAQs: What do I need to bring? • Indoor shoes! (Not outdoor shoes will be allowed in the studio.) Dance shoes, clean sneakers, and sock feet are fine. • Water bottle. • Deodorant/change of shirt. (It might get warm!) But I have two left feet/can't dance/suck at dancing! • No such thing. ;) You just haven't found the right teacher/dance style yet. Policies: CODE OF CONDUCT • Be respectful • Be polite • Be inclusive • HAVE FUN! :) SICK POLICY Please do your best to keep yourself and your community safe. This means if you are sick, please do not come to class, and if you have been exposed it is recommended that you wear a mask to protect the safety of our community and fellow dancers. If you are sick prior to an event please contact us for a credit to put towards another class. If you are sick at an event (sniffling/coughing) you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. REFUND POLICY Class passes and workshops will not be refunded except under extreme circumstances, but can be transferred to the next class block if necessary (must be requested), or to another person of the same role (leader/follower). MISSED CLASSES If you miss a class, you can make it up by attending another same level class within that week (note curriculums will be different). DROP-INS Drop-ins are only allowed consecutively and from the first class. Otherwise, purchasing a full class block is required. Drop-in price is $28+HST for class block classes. Passes are non-transferable and cannot be used by other dancers. WAIVER & MEDIA RELEASE You will be asked to sign a Waiver and Media Release (photos and videos taken during the even may be used in promotional materials or posted on social media). If you have questions about the Waiver prior to purchasing your event pass, please contact us. You cannot participate in Remix Swing events without signing the Waiver. AGE REQUIREMENT All participants must be 16+ years old or 14+ years old with an adult guardian also participating in the class.
