Guelph-Wellington Tenant Union Gathering

Join our final gathering of 2026 as we celebrate our accomplishments and shape our work for next year! Neighbors helping neighbors for safer, fairer, and more affordable housing through community support & advocacy. First-timers welcome! This work is the result of Resistance & Resilience Guelph’s community-driven efforts, which identified Guelph as particularly vulnerable to the effects of the housing crisis, as one of the few major cities in the area without a tenant union. Guelph is among the cities most affected by U.S. tariffs, contributing to tenant strain through worker layoffs, reduced hours and the rising cost of living and housing. At the same time, in Ontario, provincial legislation is weakening renter protections. Your involvement in building the GWTU is one of the strongest ways to build community resilience, prevent further homelessness, and respond to the impacts of economic pressure and provincial policy changes. Can't attend but would like to be involved? Email [email protected] for online participation or to see what roles are available for the GWTU.
