THE SHOWGIRL ACADEMY An 8-Week Intensive for the Emerging Showgirl The Showgirl Academy is an 8-week intensive designed to build confidence, creativity, and practical skills for performers — while also teaching skills that can be carried into everyday life. Throughout the program, you’ll explore makeup, hair, wigs, costuming, rhinestoning, musicality, branding, and social media, while developing your own personal style, stage presence, and confidence. Whether you’re looking to step onto the stage for the first time, take your existing performance skills to the next level, or simply discover your inner showgirl, this program is designed to help you learn, create, and grow. COURSE SCHEDULE October 6 | 6:00–7:00 PM BRANDING Develop your personal brand and learn how to present yourself professionally as a performer. October 13 | 6:00–7:00 PM SOCIAL MEDIA Learn social media strategies, content creation, and ways to build your online presence with guest artist Mary Snow. October 27 | 6:00–7:00 PM COSTUMING & RHINESTONING 101 Learn the basics of costume design, embellishment, rhinestoning, and creating your own performance looks. November 3 | 6:00–7:00 PM MUSICALITY Explore musical interpretation, timing, movement, and connecting your performance to music with guest artist Kween. November 10 | 5:30–7:00 PM MAKEUP — PART 1 Learn the fundamentals of performance makeup, including foundation, contouring, eyebrows, and creating a strong makeup base. November 17 | 5:30–7:00 PM MAKEUP — PART 2 Continue building your makeup skills with eyeshadow, lips, finishing touches, and completing your full makeup look. December 1 | 5:30–7:00 PM HAIRSTYLING, WIGS & HAIR PIECES Learn hairstyling techniques and how to work with wigs and hair pieces to complete your performance look. December 8 | 5:30–7:00 PM PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER Bring together the skills and techniques you’ve learned throughout the program and create your own complete showgirl look. OPTIONAL SHOWGIRL PHOTOSHOOT December 8 | 7:30 PM Please note: The Showgirl Photoshoot is NOT included in the 8-week course. It is an optional additional experience available for purchase separately. Step into the spotlight and let your inner showgirl shine! Each participant will receive 2 professionally photographed and edited images with photographer Alissa Gee, perfect for upcoming gigs, social media, websites, promotional materials, or simply for your own personal collection. With hair, makeup, and styling guidance from international award-winning stylist Crystal Quartz, you’ll receive personalized advice to help bring out your best features and create a look that feels uniquely you. Hair and makeup artists will also be on site to help create an incredible showgirl experience from start to finish. Together, Crystal Quartz, Alissa Gee, and the team will help you with your hair, makeup, styling, posing, and overall presentation so you can feel confident in front of the camera and love your final images. This is more than just a photoshoot — it’s an opportunity to bring everything you’ve learned together, experience the transformation of becoming your inner showgirl, and leave with professional images you’ll be proud to use. PHOTOSHOOT BOOKINGS The photoshoot will be available for purchase after October 6. Spaces will be limited, with a limited number of available timeslots. Additional details and booking information will be provided to students following the first class. WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS Come comfortable, prepared, and ready to shine! For Sessions 1–7, please bring: • A yoga mat or something comfortable to sit on • A notebook and pen • A stable surface to write on • Your comfiest clothes — you are absolutely welcome to dress in your comfies for these sessions! MAKEUP & HAIR COURSES For the makeup and hair courses, please bring your own products and tools that you currently use. Crystal will also bring a large selection of hair and makeup tools and products to help demonstrate techniques and allow students to explore different options. Please note that these supplies are limited and are intended to assist with learning and demonstrations, not to provide enough products or tools to complete an entire look for each student. Crystal will also provide guidance and personalized suggestions for products and tools that may work well for you and your individual needs. FINAL SESSION — YOUR SHOWGIRL LOOK For the final session, come prepared to create your full showgirl look from head to toe. Please bring: • All of the makeup and hair tools and products you’ll need for your look • Your chosen outfit — something you feel your absolute best in • Your best showgirl look • Jewelry and accessories • Shoes or other finishing pieces • Anything else that helps you feel fabulous, confident, and ready to step into the spotlight This is your opportunity to bring everything you’ve learned together and create a look that feels uniquely you. Most importantly, bring your excitement, good energy, creativity, and willingness to learn! This is your time to learn, grow, get creative, and step into your inner showgirl.
