Teen Studio: Stained Glass Honeycomb Suncatchers

FREE for ages 14-18. Foil and solder stained glass hexagons to create a geometric suncatcher! This workshop is open to everyone ages 14-18. Registration is required. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your free ticket so that someone on the waitlist can join! Each stained glass workshop can only accommodate 10 at a time. Sessions are identical, please choose one date to attend. About the Workshop: Make a stained-glass honeycomb suncatcher using the Tiffany/copper foil construction method. In this workshop you will select your glass, foil, solder, attach jump rings, and clean your suncatcher for the perfect look. You will be working with pre-cut and pre-ground glass hexagons. Choose 7 pieces to make a honeycomb cluster, a flower, or your own design! No kiln firing for this one! You'll make & take your artwork home after the workshop. FREE for Youth ages 14-18, Teen Studio Classes at the Gallery are generously supported by the Lonsdale and Roberta Schofield Fund, the Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund, and The Hilde English Memorial Fund all held at Waterloo Region Community Foundation. This program stream is running from April-December 2026 in 10 on-site sessions at the Gallery (registration on Eventbrite), and 10 off-site sessions with community partners in the Waterloo Region.
