Beginning Inkle Weaving - Fall 2026

Learn how to warp and weave decorative bands on an Inkle Loom Dates: Wednesdays Oct 28 and Nov 4, 2026 Time: 6:30pm – 9:00pm Location: East Lion’s Community Centre – 1731 Churchill Ave Instructor: Dan Lajoie Participant Fee: Members $70, Non-Members $80 Material Fee: $5 (for 2/8 cotton – bring your own if you have some – multiple colours) Equipment to bring: Inkle loom – if possible (A limited number are available at the guild), Scissors, Tape Measure or ruler, Inkle loom shuttle Description: In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to: -read and create inkle patterns -warp an inkle loom -weave a finished band Our classes are primarily designed for adult learners. Students under 18 may register and attend if they are mature enough to participate fully, however, they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is over 18 and is also registered for the class. The workshop is limited to 8 participants, please register early. This class has a minimum number of 4 participants to proceed. If this number is not reached we’ll let you know about a week before the start of class. You will be refunded your full registration. ***Cancellation Policy: Participants who cancel their registration up to 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund, less Eventbrite fees. A participant who finds a replacement for his/her spot within 1 month prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund, less Eventbrite fees. Cancellations within 1 month of workshops (with no replacement found) and “no-shows” will not be refunded. If the Guild cancels a workshop for any reason, all payments, including Eventbrite fees will be refunded. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check that your payment has been processed and your registration has been received.
