This beginners' workshop will guide you through the ins and outs of baking tangy, crusty loaves from scratch. What You’ll Learn: • How to craft an artisan sourdough from start to finish • How to care for and maintain a sourdough starter • The science behind fermentation and wild yeast • Step-by-step dough mixing, folding, and shaping techniques • The secrets to achieving a perfect rise and crust What’s Included: • Your own sourdough dough that you'll prepare in-class and then bake at home • Freshly baked sourdough goodies and light refreshments • A healthy starter to take home and nurture for your own baking adventures • Hands-on demonstrations of key sourdough techniques • A detailed recipe card to guide you through the baking process • A dictionary of all the sourdough terms you'll need to know • Q&A session to answer all your sourdough questions Why Sourdough? Sourdough is more than just bread – it’s a fun, rewarding, and creative process that allows you to craft bread that’s full of flavor and texture. Plus, baking your own sourdough means you control the ingredients and the process, giving you a sense of accomplishment and a delicious loaf to show for it! Participant Cancellations: Participants may cancel their registration up to 7 days before the scheduled workshop to receive a refund of the workshop registration fee. Eventbrite ticketing and processing fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made less than 7 days of the workshop date are non-refundable. Host/Venue Cancellations: While we make every effort to run all workshops as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, participants will be notified no later than 2 days before the scheduled workshop. In the event of a host/venue cancellation, participants will receive a refund of the workshop registration fee; however, Eventbrite ticketing and processing fees remain non-refundable.
