From AI and cybersecurity to protection planning, succession and new investment opportunities, this year’s Fall PD Day is focused on the issues advisors are dealing with right now. Join us for a practical, relevant day of education, discussion and connection with Saskatchewan’s financial services community. Advocis South Saskatchewan: Fall PD & AGM • 📅 Thursday, October 15, 2026 • 🕘8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST (Social Hour 4:00 - 5:00 pm) • 📍VENUE: Wascana Country Club, 6500 Wascana Parkway, Regina SK S4P 3C2 The advisory business is changing quickly. Technology and AI are reshaping how we work, cybersecurity and ethical responsibilities are becoming harder to ignore, and clients are looking to us for guidance through increasingly complex financial decisions. Our 2026 Fall PD & AGM brings together industry experts for a day focused on issues that are relevant to your practice right now — with ideas you can take back to your business and your clients. What you can expect: 🤖 Technology, AI & Cybersecurity — without the overwhelm Kelly Gustafson will tackle how advisors can become more confident using technology and AI while staying alert to cybersecurity, privacy and ethical considerations. She’ll also explore the modern advisory skill set and what advisors need to remain effective as the industry continues to evolve. 🏠 Do you have your own financial house in order? We spend our careers helping clients prepare for the unexpected — but how prepared are we ourselves? In a very personal presentation, Tami Romanchuk, CFP®, CLU® shares how a brain tumour diagnosis changed her perspective on protection planning, living benefits, succession and the importance of having your own affairs organized. Her experience includes relying on critical illness coverage during her recovery and seeing firsthand why advisors need to review their own wills, powers of attorney, beneficiary designations, income-replacement coverage and business succession arrangements. 📈 New ideas and opportunities for your clients Hear from PearTree on mining flow-through shares, explore Golden Opportunities with Wanda Hunchak, and take away additional ideas you can incorporate into client conversations and planning. 🔥 Hear directly from Advocis National Join Curtis Kimpton for an Advocis National Fireside Chat and hear what is happening within the association and the profession. And just as importantly, spend the day with other advisors and industry professionals from across Saskatchewan. Breakfast and lunch are included, followed by a social hour from 4:00–5:00 p.m. — giving you plenty of time to reconnect with colleagues and make new connections. Our Speakers: Kelly Gustafson is a fifth-generation Saskatchewan farm girl who has spent nearly 3 decades in Canadian financial services and the last 15 rebuilding how advisory practices run. Her position: the industry does not have an advice problem. It has a service delivery problem. Clients are asking for a modern experience, an ongoing relationship they can see and take part in, and most practices were built to deliver a series of transactions. As founder of Etc. Projects, Kelly builds systems of service that close that gap, so that every client knows what their advisor is doing for them this year, and why. An essential shift, because clients cannot value work they never see, and an industry built on trust cannot afford to keep its best work invisible. Advice establishes what should happen. Service makes it happen. She is leading Canadian advisors to deliver both, and Canadians to better outcomes because of it. Tami Romanchuk has been a licensed insurance professional since 2005 and has spent more than two decades helping Canadians protect what they’ve worked hard to build. She is the co-author of Succession Planning for Insurance Professionals and a passionate advocate for helping advisors and business owners get their financial houses in order. After a life-changing brain health diagnosis, Tami brings a deeply personal perspective to conversations about insurance, succession, legacy, and planning for the unexpected. Blending industry experience with humour, honesty and lived experience, she reminds audiences that while we can’t always control what tomorrow brings, we can be better prepared for it. Wanda Hunchak, CFA, CPA, CMA Wanda Hunchak, Executive Vice President Westcap Mgt. Ltd., has been investing in businesses across Western Canada for almost three decades.
