Have you ever thrown something and watched it go sideways, straight down or somehow backwards? You’re among friends. This free, four-week beginner course is for anyone and everyone who doesn’t feel confident throwing a ball. Kids and adults are welcome, whether you’re sporty, non-sporty, or actively sport-avoidant. No experience needed, no judgement, and no one gets picked last. Over four relaxed 45-minute sessions in the gym, we’ll break throwing down into simple steps and practise with tennis balls, foam balls, games and challenges. Yes, there will be things to knock over. Dates • Oct 27 • Nov 3 • Nov 10 • Nov 17 Time • 6:45-7:30 PM Good to know • This is not a baseball camp. No glove needed • We’re only throwing. No catching required, so nothing will be flying at your face (on purpose). • Small group, so everyone gets plenty of turns and a little one-on-one help. • Come as you are: comfy clothes and running shoes are all you need. • Kids under seven should come with a grown-up (who is welcome to join in and finally work through some things from grade 4 gym class). • Spots are limited, so you MUST register ahead of time. After this class you’ll be able to • Nail the target at the dunk tank • Throw tomatoes at sub-par theatre performers • Hold your own in a snowball fight • Impress your dog • Toss your keys to someone across the room • Play dodgeball with your kids and keep your dignity • Return a stray ball at the park without the walk of shame
