PROSPER Conference 2026: Building Stronger Workforce Partnerships

Join PROSPER Conference to learn how to build your First Nations workforce, forge strong partnerships, and boost your business success! The PROSPER Conference presented by Employment and Social Development Canada, is a dynamic gathering designed to strengthen collaboration among First Nation workforce development partners, employers, industry leaders, and government stakeholders. This event creates opportunities to build relationships, explore strategies for employer-led mentorships, gain practical strategies that support Indigenous workforce participation and create innovative solutions to address industry needs. Organized by the Saskatchewan Indian Training Assessment Group (SITAG), a network of Tribal Councils and First Nations employment agencies dedicated to increasing employment, skills training, education, and workforce development opportunities for First Nations across Saskatchewan, the conference will focus on two themes: • Day One: Collaboration, Partnership Building & Reconciliation – explore how meaningful partnerships can create stronger workforce outcomes. Sessions will highlight leading practices in Indigenous engagement, relationship building, economic reconciliation, and partnership-driven approaches. • Day Two: Youth Engagement & Workforce Readiness – discussions will be centered around empowering the next generation of First Nation workers by exploring innovative approaches to youth engagement, career awareness, mentorship, skills development, and pathways to employment Representatives from 39 SITAG employment and training agencies will be in attendance, along with staff from the seven Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) JobConnections Centers located throughout the province. Together, SITAG and SIIT represent a network of more than 6,000 trained and labour-ready Indigenous workers, providing employers with valuable opportunities to connect with Indigenous talent and build lasting workplace partnerships.
