ADJACENT: OPENING NIGHT

a group exhibition exploring the spaces between cultures, disciplines, identities, communities and traditional creative spaces. Featuring work by local artists with different perspectives, practices and lived experiences, ADJACENT looks at what can happen when we don’t fit neatly into one box: when cultures overlap, creative practices cross disciplines, and identity exists somewhere in between. The exhibition opens Saturday, November 14 at VS. Creative Lab and runs through November 29. As part of the exhibition, we’re also planning an artist conversation exploring intersectional cultural identity and the ideas behind ADJACENT. VS. Creative Lab happens to sit just a couple blocks outside the Eastside Culture Crawl boundary and will be open during Culture Crawl weekend, November 19–22, so if you’re already in the neighbourhood exploring art, come a couple blocks further and see what’s happening outside the lines. ADJACENT November 14–29, 2026 Opening: Saturday, November 14 VS. Creative Lab 1884 Main Street, Vancouver Free, with RSVP Donations are welcome. We want exhibitions like ADJACENT to remain accessible and open to the community. If you’re able to contribute, optional donations will help support the costs of this exhibition and future opportunities for artists to show their work, experiment, connect and create at VS. Creative Lab. Come see the work, meet the artists and spend some time with us. Whether you donate or not, you’re welcome here. More details, participating artists and special programming to come.
