Join Ontario singer-songwriters Renée Coughlin (of indie-folk trio The Pairs) and Rebekah Hawker (Winner of Folk Music Ontario’s 2026 Song of the Year Award) for an intimate evening of songs, stories, and shared musical moments at Painted Lady Records. Blending folk, roots, and country influences, both artists write with warmth, wit, and a refreshing honesty about the beautiful, complicated business of being human. Renée’s tender, thoughtful songwriting moves between hope and heartache, with unexpected turns of phrase and melodies that linger. Rebekah brings a soulful country-folk sound, pairing intimate ballads with sharp storytelling and a little country grit. Deeply heartfelt, and sometimes wild, Rebekah’s songs feel lived-in, creating memorable experiences for her audiences. Expect two distinct solo sets, followed by the pair joining forces for a handful of cover songs. With heartfelt vocals, plenty of personality, and the kind of connection that makes a small-room show special, this is an evening for music lovers who appreciate a good story, a beautiful melody, and a few laughs along the way.
