Full description from organizer

Advanced professional development for sound and wellness practitioners ready to expand where and how they work. Professional Practice Training for Sound & Wellness Practitioners You can do work you believe in and make a good living doing it. The global wellness economy reached US$6.8 trillion in 2024. Sound and meditation are part of a much larger industry, with opportunities that extend beyond private sessions and sound baths. But a growing industry doesn’t automatically mean a thriving practice. You can be skilled at what you do and still struggle to get bookings, price your work or know which opportunities are worth pursuing. The Business of Sound is a two-day professional practice intensive for sound and wellness practitioners ready to launch or grow their business. We’ll look at how the wellness industry works and where your practice fits within it. That includes developing your own offerings and understanding how to approach opportunities in corporate wellness and hospitality, as well as events and retreats. We’ll also talk honestly about working in an industry where compelling marketing can get ahead of the work itself. How do you communicate what you offer without making exaggerated claims? What makes a good collaboration? How do you grow your business while maintaining the standards you want to be known for? You’ll apply the teaching directly to your own practice, with dedicated working time and feedback throughout. What We’ll Explore Understanding the Wellness Industry & Your Place in It Look beyond the services you already know. Understand different business models and how to recognize opportunities that suit your experience, including work with organizations and venues. Building a Strong Business Foundation Work through the decisions involved in establishing your business. Consider your responsibilities as a practitioner and the boundaries that protect both your clients and your work. Positioning Your Work & Developing Your Offerings Make the value of your work easier to understand. Develop offerings that reflect your strengths and give people a clear reason to book with you. Pricing & Profitability Understand what your work actually costs to deliver. Set prices that account for your time beyond the session itself, and learn to assess whether an opportunity makes financial sense. Professional Presence & Marketing Make your website and social media more effective at turning interest into bookings. Explore what builds trust and how to communicate your work responsibly. We’ll also consider practical uses for AI without losing your voice. Events, Partnerships & New Opportunities Explore how to create your own programming and approach potential collaborators. Learn what to discuss before committing to an event or partnership, including expectations around payment and promotion. The Business Behind the Bookings Develop the agreements and booking processes that support your work. Set expectations early so you can spend less time managing confusion and more time delivering a good experience. A Working Weekend Bring your laptop and the business you’re building, whether it’s already running or still taking shape. Dedicated working time means you can put the teaching into practice while support is available. You might work on an offering, revise your pricing or develop a proposal for an opportunity you want to pursue. You’ll have space to ask questions specific to your business and get feedback on your work. Course materials are included for continued reference. Who This Is For Sound and wellness practitioners who have training in their primary modality and want to strengthen the business side of their work. You may be preparing to launch or looking for more consistent bookings. Established practitioners who want to expand their work are also welcome. You do not need a finished website or a large following. Practitioners trained outside Mystic Meditations are welcome. This course does not teach foundational facilitation skills.
